Human beings are social animals, in whose life companionship plays an imminent role. The company of friends, family, or even pets with whom one can share their life is necessary for healthy survival. Sociality is a presiding factor that lays the foundation for shaping our thoughts, neural activity, and behavior. It regulates the way we present ourselves in front of authority, parents, peers, and others which plays a vital role in building rapport and hence emotional satisfaction. Our lives are woven in a way that our actions impact others surrounding us since we engage in acts of cooperation, loyalty, and moral concern, especially about our inner circles. Worldwide, over 970 million individuals belonging to all ages suffer from a mental illness. Out of this, more than 264 million people suffer from depression. Yes! It is that common but it is extremely dreadful at the same time. Depression has become the leading cause of disability and can lead to suicide too. People today use the term ‘depression’ very loosely and have blurred the lines between feeling low and actually suffering from a mental illness. It is okay to feel sad after a bad day or grieve after the death of a loved one. These mood fluctuations and transient emotional responses to the hardships of everyday life cannot be labelled as depression. It is depression only when you feel sad persistently for a long period of time and it starts hampering your everyday activities. Detailed Character Analysis of Amy Dunne Reinforcing Contributory Cause:  All the extra sympathy and attention she was getting from the people (based on the story shown by the media) harnessed her narcissistic personality. All that fame and empathy may have helped in maintaining her abnormal behaviour and even encouraged it further.
